DOWIE DOOLE Blanc2 (squared) is a tribute to the power of the two classic Blancs; Chenin and Sauvignon. Chenin Blanc lending it’s varietal characters of citrus/passionfruit as well as its natural acidity. The Sauvignon Blanc adding further lift and complexity.

30% Sauvignon Blanc, Adelaide Hills, The Range Vineyard - Kuitpo
Colour: Pale straw with a platinum hue.
Nose: Chenin Blanc notes of kaffir lime leaf, passionfruit and honeydew. Followed by subtle hints of gooseberry and guava from the Sauvignon Blanc. The fruit aromatics are given an overall lift with notes Cedar/pencil shaving from the barrel fermentation/maturation in French oak.
Palate: The aromas follow through onto the palate with a burst of guava/passionfruit, combined with delicate nutty flavours and spice from the barrel fermentation. The increased texture from aging on lees adds weight to the palate, with a lovely clean and zesty finish from the wines natural acidity.
