Certain vineyards produce exceptional fruit, creating distinctive wines. Norm Doole's California Road Vineyard is one of those treasures, producing low yielding, outstanding fruit.
Reflecting the site's particular terroir, the wine is naturally bold, spicy and generous gaining further complexity from barrel fermentation and extended oak maturation, using the finest American Oak hogsheads.
Colour: Intense deep red with a bright crimson hue.
Nose: A complex nose of dark berry fruit, choc mocha, star anise and cedar.
Palate: The full-bodied palate is rich and generous. The special selection 36 month seasoned barrels have added weight and structure whist enhancing the fruit intensity - flavours of dark berries, blackberries, clove and dark chocolate. A complex wine with excellent tannin structure, amazing length and weight.
