Aromatic. Citrusy. Tropical. Zesty.
Our famous old vine Chenin Blanc is sourced from Australia’s oldest known Chenin Blanc vineyard; ‘Tintookie’ planted in 1933, owned by Drew Dowie and Lulu Lunn.
“Produced from 80+yo vines on the Tintookie Vineyard in the cooler foothills of McLaren Vale. There's no question this lineage gives the wine more presence and authority than almost all of its varietal peers." James Halliday
Colour: Medium straw
Nose: A pervasively tropical nose, lifting immediately out of the glass with notes of passion fruit, Kaffir Lime leaf, white peach and citrus blossom.
Palate: The aromas follow through onto the palate with a burst of delicate white stone fruit and citrus flavours. A lovely, long palate and a crisp, clean and zesty finish.
Reviews & Awards:
"Citrus & lime aromas with hints of green apples, crisp zingy on the palate with oodles of flavour, lovely acid balance and a clean refreshing finish. EVER SO DRINKABLE." Dan Traucki, Wine Author
